Health and Safety Policy Statement:

Arvia Water Technology (the Company) is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and others who may be affected by our work activities.

We recognise our statutory obligations to maintain standards of safety for all our employees in every aspect of their work in relation to buildings, equipment, materials, substances, and workplaces, and for continually ensuring that these obligations are fulfilled.

We also acknowledge our obligations to members of the public, contractors and visitors to our premises, and will ensure that measures are taken to maintain their Health and Safety.

The Company’s Board has appointed a CEO who is responsible for the development of Health and Safety policies and procedures and will ensure that appropriate resources are available for their effective implementation. All management and staff are required to co-operate to maintain the Health and Safety of the workplace, by observing and maintaining the safety standards as laid down in the arrangements of this Policy.

It is the legal duty of every employee, whilst at work, to take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. They must co-operate with the Company in any duty imposed upon it by any relevant legislation.

To ensure that we meet our responsibilities, we will provide as far as is reasonably practicable:

  1. Appropriate training and instruction to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently.
  2. All necessary safety devices, instruction, supervision and personal protective equipment as required by any relevant legislation.
  3. A constant and continuing review of Health and Safety matters applicable to the activities of the Company, in particular by consulting and involving all employees.
  4. A QHSE Manager and contact with relevant Health and Safety bodies to ensure that up to date knowledge on legislation, codes of practice and guidance is available.
  5. Suitable risk assessments of premises and the tasks carried out within them and elsewhere on behalf of the Company.
  6. The means to continually improve our QHSE performance.

This Policy has the full support and commitment of the CEO and is supported by the QHSE Manager. The policy will be regularly monitored to ensure the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or organisational change.

Quality Management Policy Statement

Arvia Water Technology aspires to be the best in all aspects of our business and to build long term reciprocal partnerships with our clients. Our strategic goal is to be a ‘best player’ when undertaking our QHSE functions. We apply the following principles to achieve these goals:

Market: Arvia Water Technology works closely with customers, end users, consultants, and industry bodies to maintain a leading position in the market. This ensures the company’s continued ability to provide high quality service to all customers.

Customers: Customer satisfaction by providing products to minimise their environmental impact from wastewater is our highest priority. We co-operate with our customers and maintain open communication at all times. Our services and functions promote long-term associations with our customers.

Quality System: The quality assurance system is maintained to be certified and compliant to ISO9001. We are committed to continual improvement of our management system, products and services to fulfil all our customers’ requirements. We also acknowledge that it is integral to customer satisfaction that we ensure our services are fully compliant with all relevant legislation, industry standards and other applicable quality requirements.

Colleagues: We provide the leadership to facilitate independent, responsible, quality and customer orientated performance. We actively encouraged training and further education.

Suppliers & Sub-Contractors: We co-operate with our suppliers and sub-contractors to offer the highest possible levels of service and competitive pricing available in the market.

Review: We monitor quality objectives and key performance indicators. We annually review this policy and the Quality (Integrated) Management System performance.

Resources: Physical, human and financial resources are allocated to ensure the Quality Management System functions effectively and the continued research and development of our technology is done.

Risk & Strategy: Risk based thinking, including opportunities assessment is considered throughout our activities and the business strategy is set upon this assessment.

This Policy and any associated documentation will be continuously reviewed, updated and improved to ensure it remains relevant to business requirements, is effective and supports achievement of the strategic direction and success of the company. The Company’s Board has appointed a CEO who is responsible for this policy, and he/she shall be supported by the QHSE Manager.

Environmental Management Policy Statement

Arvia Water Technology is a professional and environmentally conscious company, which acknowledges the impact that its operations potentially have on the environment. Our clear objective is to minimise any impact on the environment by:

  • Developing our technology and working with customers to minimise their environmental impact by supplying products to mitigate wastewater pollution.
  • Preventing pollution, reducing waste and ensuring that wherever practical, controls are implemented to protect and preserve natural habitats, flora and fauna.
  • Considering the effects that our operations may have on the local community.
  • Promoting environmental awareness amongst our customers, suppliers, contractors and partners by implementation of operational procedures.
  • Seeking to work in partnership with the local community by behaving in a considerate and socially responsible manner.
  • Ensuring effective and expedient incident control, investigation and reporting.

We will fully comply with the duties and requirements of statutory legislation, as well as foster best practices where possible. As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of environmental management systems, we will operate an Integrated Management System compliant with the principles of ISO14001.

All employees and sub-contractors are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation of this policy, whilst ensuring that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves, others or the environment. This includes co-operating with management on any environment related matter.

We will take all practical steps to ensure that potential hazards and risks to the environment are identified, and that suitable and effective preventive and control measures are implemented. All employees will be provided with the necessary resources, equipment, information, instruction and training to fulfil the requirements of this policy.

The CEO has overall responsibility for all environmental matters. The operation of this policy and the associated procedures will be monitored, and reviewed, on a regular basis to ensure that they remain current and applicable to Arvia’s activities. This policy has been endorsed by the CEO and QHSE Manager who give full support to the implementation of the policy.
